Welcome to the website, of the Berkshire Moth Group. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, we hope you will find the site interesting and useful

As a group we aim to raise the profile of moth recording - our members contribute their records to those of Berkshire.

To this end, the group can be contacted by anyone wishing to help with the furtherance of these aims. We will be glad to assist in the identification of moths or larva (caterpillars) that you may find.

There are a number of ways you can take part in the Berkshire Moth Group activities. Just move your mouse over the menus above and click on the items that interest you.

We hope to illustrate as many of the species as we can from the county, and to provide details of their distribution and status, through the use of maps and narrative. we also hope that it will prove useful for those visiting the site for assistance in specimen identification.
The photographs are the work of various contributors, a trend we would like to continue. So if you have images of species that are not illustrated here, or perhaps show different forms, or are of better quality than those currently shown, and are willing to share them, we would be more than happy to hear from you.
